You will be responsible for logistical support to the ER Field Operations Center, primarily including radio operations and field personnel accountability as well as scheduling, and other administrative functions in support of disciplined operations.
You will assist in the day-to-day business operations functions, the Plan-of the-Day, and in the development and distribution of facility operations-focused programs, policies, processes, and procedures. This includes developing and maintaining required operational documentation, Shift Orders and Standing Orders, readiness reviews, training reports and procedural manuals; and assisting in the management of resources to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided to the ER field operations center.
The OSS2 will assist with the management and coordination of space and any logistics required such as phones, computers, etc., and is also responsible for property accountability and access control for the ER Field Operations Center.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Recent, relevant experience working in an operations center and/or in radio dispatch functions related to field work execution to ensure the safety and security of employees;
Experience in project support techniques, including scheduling, resource management, property, and minor procurement;
Skilled in the coordination and integration of facility specific requirements, such as radio accountability and access control;
Demonstrated skill with interpersonal, written and verbal communications;
Ability to conceptualize and communicate elements of facility operations to both technical and non-technical personnel;
Familiar with Laboratory Safety and Security policies.
May coordinate typical office functions including, but not necessarily limited to, setting up and maintaining operations/facility-related hardcopy and electronic files. May coordinate meetings and agendas. May coordinate the preparation and distribution of correspondence.
This position typically requires a bachelorís degree and/or related work experience.
Knowledge and experience working in a dispatch or operations center;
Knowledge with work scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or MS Project;
Knowledge and experience with the LANL maintenance program, including knowledge of work packages;

The Associate Directorate of Environmental Management (ADEM) provides environmental stewardship for the Laboratory and its workforce, sponsors, and the public. ADEPís focus is on cleaning up legacy waste sites and protecting northern New Mexicoís water resources; and processing and shipping legacy hazardous and radioactive waste to permanent disposal facilities. The Environmental Remediation Division (ER) organization within ADEM, provides skilled business services, such as contracting, safety and logistics, and administrative and communications assistance. Reporting to the Operations Manager in the Environmental Remediation Field Services (ER-FS) group, the OSS2 will work at the ER Field Operations Center. The candidate selected for this position must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment, with firm production schedules, and frequently changing priorities.
