Resumes to Engineered Resources by 11/16/17

Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to SRNS. 
• Primary responsibilities include engineering task analysis, walk-downs, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Location Plans, Connection Diagrams, Conduit / Block Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Panel Detail Drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and Battery Loading Calculations in accordance with national consensus codes and standards. 
• Provide technical support to site construction forces, start-up & testing, suppliers or subcontract personnel. 
• Prepare Data Sheets, Statements of Work, Procurement Specifications, Design Build Specifications, and Purchase Requisitions.
• Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures.  Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.

Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hr/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day) and a 9/80s (9hrs/day; five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30minute lunch.

Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited engineering curriculum. OR Registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection. OR full member in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE). Or NICET Level III certification in the applicable subfield.

Experience/Skills:
In addition to education, the following are required skills, knowledge and/or qualifications:
• Eight years recent design experience, four (4) of which shall include alarm & detection systems design.
• General knowledge of electrical/control systems, connection diagrams, layout plans, logic diagrams, panel layout details, P&ID’s, and battery loading calculations.
• Working knowledge of National Consensus Codes and Standards applicable to fire detection and alarm systems.
• Experience with 2D Microstation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD)
• Ability to use Windows Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to perform field walk-downs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance

Preferred Skills:
• Previous SRS Design Engineering experience is preferred.

Area Security Access:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate, assumed to be uncleared, will be given the opportunity to apply for a DOE clearance.
