Job Responsibilities

-Perform Reviews of technical proposals and quality- related oversight activities on NWP subcontracts
-Applying fundamental NQA-1-based technical quality assurance knowledge
-Review Technical proposals and statements of work as well as oversee work related to site infrastructure projects such a WIPP Loop activities and capital asset projects such as the permanent ventilation system
-Personnel may also be requested to augment NWP personnel at the WIPP Site in Carlsbad, NM
-Assume responsibility for detailed quality assurance oversight activities which could include fabrication oversight and field assessments at numerous vendor facilities as directed by NWP.
-Position responsibilities are not limited to the above. Assignments can be evaluated as necessary.


-BA or BS Degree in Engineering or related field plus 10 years nuclear QA experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

-10-15 years of experience in a related engineering discipline (e.g. mechanical, electrical)
-ASME NQA-1 and ASME BPV code experience, preferably with NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification
-Work Package Closure experience (N-5), preferably including procurement documentation experience
-Nuclear Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance experience in nuclear, with verifiable certifications
-Proven organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
-Knowledge in Software QA is desired, but not required
