Perform condition monitoring of industrial facility equipment including rotating machinery, electrical distribution equipment, compressed gas systems, and pressurized steam systems using Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies including vibration monitoring and diagnostics, infrared thermography, Motor current and circuit analysis and Ultrasonic inspection. Utilize vibration analyzer, infra-red scanner, ultrasonic probe or other equipment to assess equipment condition and recommend corrective measures if appropriate.

Activities include software setup, portable analyzer setup, field data collection, data analysis, exception reporting, and periodic reporting.

Activities may be performed in confined spaces, radiological controlled areas, and elevated work areas. Personal protective equipment may include anti-contamination suites, respirators, fresh air hoods, arc flash protection suits, as well as routine PPE such as gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of related experience. An Associate's degree and 10 - 12 years of practical experience would substitute for the higher degree requirement. A high school diploma and 4- 6 additional years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent.

Experience /Skills:

Qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in industrial maintenance and 3 years experience as a fulltime vibration analyst. Must have as a minimum a Level I Vibration Analyst certification or equivalent (e.g. Technical Associates (TA) Analyst I, ASNT 2A, ISO category II) - Must have competency in the application of hardware/software essential in collection of equipment vibration data - Must have minimum of 3 years experience in one or more other PdM technology (i.e. infrared thermography, motor current and circuit analysis, ultrasonic inspection). Should be familiar with the Emerson/CSI line of vibration monitoring and diagnostics hardware/software including the 2120/2130 machinery analyzer and the Machinery Health Manager Analysis software. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Possess strong organizational skills and able to perform duties with little direction as well as strong interpersonal skills and work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L or Q clearance if required to perform assigned duties.

Radiological Controlled Area Access:

Radiation training is not required initially, however, candidate must be capable of obtaining RWT 1 or RWT 2 qualification and/or respirator/plastic hood qualifications if required to perform assigned duties.
