Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Direct Hire

Several prestigious nuclear and electric utility clients have urgent needs for a System Engineers. Various locations that are just minutes from a variety of metropolitan areas accompanied by big city amenities and an international airport making for easy travel. Plus each opportunity offers a high quality lifestyle including fishing, hiking, boating and other outdoor activities! Our client is offering a comprehension compensation package to include relocation assistance.

Responsibilities/Duties include:
Work with a close nit team of system engineers to ensure the health and viability of high tiered electrical plant systems. Perform system monitoring and trending of system life cycles. Make detailed recommendations to requesting departmental, corporate and plant management for revised procedures, equipment modifications, maintenance activities or other means of improving plant safety and operation. Investigate and recommend corrective engineering actions to assure performance against published standards and codes as well as compliance with regulatory commitments and requirements. Perform and evaluate probabilistic risk of failures to determine minimal component system/plant risk to the public to ensure safe and efficient operation. Complete special modifications and perform other duties as assigned by supervision/management. Develop cost-effective solutions and champions short term and long range plans to ensure timely resolution of issues and support of excellence in equipment reliability.

The qualified candidate for System Engineer MUST have:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power systems emphasis a plus).
PE License (preferred) or ready to sit for exam.
Five (5) years plus of proven Systems Engineering experience.
Power Distribution and Substation experience highly desired (i.e. transformers, distribution systems, generators, etc.).
Excellent references
Strong communications skills both verbal and written
