We are currently recruiting for several Junior Engineers to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for multiple junior engineers with either electrical or mechanical backgrounds. Ultimately, the assignment’s purpose is to look at High Safety Significant systems and work through a designated process to evaluate (with Probabilistic Risk Assessment input) what components can be reduced in their safety significance. Basic elements required to achieve this objective are:
1. Develop a list of functions performed by a Safety Related system
2. Map those functions to components in that system
3. Review system operational information, plant and industry OE that may impact component classification of a component as High Safety Significance or Low Safety Significance
4. Document your results and support a site challenge
The process is contained in Exelon instructions and specific training will be provided. The targeted start date is during the first quarter of 2018.
- Candidates must be degreed in engineering
- At least 3 years of nuclear experience required
