Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract
One of our prestigious electric utility clients, has an urgent need for a Planner/Scheduler III. This is a three (3) month contract, good through January of 2018 with the potential to be extended. This highly respected utility, offers an excellent work environment and work life balance. This electric utility is on the east coast offering a high quality lifestyle including fishing, hiking, boating and other outdoor activities! This location is just minutes from a variety of metropolitan areas accompanied by big city amenities and an international airport making for easy travel.
Develop a detailed construction plan that involves planned outages, construction phases, construction steps, material, and equipment requirements, lay down areas, and overall time schedule with final ready for load dates that align with the project plan; Review of Project construction drawings and provide details or corrections; Develop work plans to ensure a safe working environment; Contribute as the liaison for PM&CC to the compliance reporting, risk management, and other official processes as requested; Participate in Safety Leadership Day, Department Hub and conflict management action meetings.
The qualified candidate for Planner/Scheduler III MUST have:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Five (5) plus years of Construction or Substation Planning/Scheduling at an electric utility.
Knowledge of construction of substation re-builds and new build construction projects
Technical knowledge of engineering, construction and maintenance practices.
Knowledge of scheduling software (i.e. Primavera 6 and or other scheduling software).
Strong communications skills both verbal and written
Local New England candidates strongly preferred or strong desire to work in New England (please advise per diem requirements).
