One of our clients, a commercial nuclear power utility, has a need for a Fire Protection Engineer. This is a permanent “in-house” position, located in an affordable area with strong family values and high quality of life, but is also within easy reach of big city amenities and close to a major international airport making for easy travel. As a Fire Protection Engineer you will lead the administration of all programs associated with the fire protection systems and components at a commercial nuclear power plant. You will ensure program compliance with all applicable regulations, codes and standards. You will provide technical oversight and support for the programs and support the operation, testing, maintenance and design functions for the fire protection, detection and passive barrier systems. You will review system and component performance, benchmark against industry best practices and make recommendations for improvement.

The qualified candidate for Fire Protection Engineer MUST have:

* BS Degree in Engineering (Fire Protection, Mechanical or Electrical) required.
* Two (2) + years of engineering (programs or design or systems) experience working with a variety of Fire Protection Systems at a commercial nuclear power plant (or similar industrial facility).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent references.
