Planet Forward is seeking SRO Specialist, Ops Procedure Writers/Reviewers to support a 6 month international contract assignment beginning in February 2018.

Ops Procedure Writers/Reviewers will update, technically verify, by desktop, simulator and plant walkdown and format existing and new Operation documents. This includes the following:
Validate operating procedures through a review of the background documents, vendor manuals, and drawings as assigned.
Support revision of operating procedures.
Review procedures developed by other departments.
Perform technical review on plant operation design specifications, license documents, guidelines as assigned.
Verification and validation of procedures as required and defined in site procedures. This task will include plant walk-downs and require physical fitness to complete.
Perform technical administrative activities as assigned by section head.
Full English fluency is required for procedure understanding, print reading, and interfacing with Operations department and other departments to complete the task.

Procedure Writer / Reviewers are nuclear industry professionals with operating nuclear unit experience. Candidates will have at least the following qualifications:
AS degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline - Prefer BS degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline (Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) with 4 years+ of related work experience is equivalent to a BS degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline).
At least 5 years of PWR Nuclear Power Plant experience - Prefer Combustion Engineering based plant design or similar.
Held a Reactor Operator License or Senior Reactor Operator License for at least 5 years.
Advanced print reading skills (electrical, mechanical, P&ID, logic and control) to be able to accurately understand plant drawings so as to verify and validate procedure information based on design and construction drawings.
Must be able to understand vendor manuals from a technical perspective to apply that knowledge to Operations Procedure content and to validate or recommend technical information be added to Operations Procedures to ensure clear, concise and accurate content.
Must understand the concept of procedure use and adherence and its application to Operation Procedures.
Must meet the intent and requirements of becoming a Station Qualified Reviewer.
To achieve Station Qualified Reviewer, must read and understand certain customer documents.
