Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract
This position will be within the Westinghouse Steam Generator Operations group and will be focused on supporting non-destructive examinations during primary side steam generator services
Maintain Level III certification in ET NDT method
Maintain EPRI Qualified Data Analyst certification
Perform Resolution analysis during field inspections
Assist Lead Level III with Identification of applicable Examination Technique Specification Sheet for damage mechanisms identified in the degradation assessment.
Assist Lead Level III to develop data acquisition and data analysis sheets, (ETSS) for each inspection. This includes defining the essential variables necessary for both data acquisition and data analysis.
Assist Lead Level III to develop Eddy Current Analysis guidelines for each inspection, as required.
Assist Lead level III to prepare data analysis training data sets.
Assist Lead Level III to generate the Appendix H equivalency report to ensure that the techniques used meets or exceeds those requirements defined in Appendix H of EPRIs Steam Generator Inspection Guidelines.
Develop and implement automated analysis data sorts
Provide technical direction to production analysts for the interpretation of complex eddy current signals
Perform supervision on field assignments which includes coaching and mentoring. Supervision is performed in the home office in the form of training of other data analysts.
Provide input into staffing levels of analysts for steam generator inspections.
Travel required up to 30%
Capable of evaluating results in terms of existing codes, standards, specifications and shall have sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication or product technology to establish techniques and acceptance criteria where none are otherwise available.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of NDE theory, signal processing and pattern recognition, computer networking, as well as a thorough understanding of legal requirements contained in plant technical specifications, ASME Code, EPRI, and NRC publications.
Meets one of the following education requirements;
a) Graduate of a four year accredited Engineering or Science College or University with a degree in engineering or science, plus 1 year of experience in an assignment comparable to that of an NDE Level II in the applicable method.
b) Completion with a passing grade of at least two years of engineering or science study at a university, college, or technical school, plus 2 years of experience in an assignment comparable to that of an NDE Level II in the applicable method;
c) High school graduate, or equivalent, plus four years of experience in an assignment comparable to that of an NDE Level II in the applicable method.
Prefer 3 to 5 years of QDA experience
