One of our clients, a multinational utility that is ranked in the top 20 Energy Companies in the world has an urgent need for a Mechanical Piping Engineer! This is a temporary “contract” position, with an initial assignment expected to last through August, 2018, with a very real possibility of extension for a top performer! Our client is a global power house with over 5 million customers nationally and experiencing 5% growth year to year!

In the role of a Mechanical Piping Engineer you will assist in the implementation of a comprehensive Transmission Integrity Program that is consistent with existing and proposed regulations for over 1,200 miles of gas transmission piping. You will also support in the field assessment of transmission pipelines and identify project risks and development of mitigation strategies. As the Mechanical Piping Engineer you will provide technical support and training regarding cathodic protection of gas facilities and update procedures where necessary. You will also be responsible for conducting engineering review and analysis of integrity related systems.

The qualified candidate for a Mechanical Piping Engineer MUST HAVE:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil).
* Five (5) plus years of experience related to engineering and the analysis of piping systems.
* Good understanding of Cathodic Protection Principles and Corrosion Processes.
* Experience working with large industrial piping systems in the Gas Transmission and/or Energy Industries.
