Update/Modify Mechanical Design Documents as directed by Supervisor
Update/Modify Data Sheets for System Equipment’s
Write/Revise Technical Documents
Performs layout and design work from the data supplied utilizing theoretical and practical engineering knowledge.
Ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures
Consults with engineering staff and technicians to ensure compliance with design specifications and has a working understanding of the engineering design process.
Applies advanced techniques in CAD and standard design applications utilizing this equipment.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.
Under broad supervision, prepares drawings and sketches using CAD workstations and appropriate design criteria and technical manuals. Performs layout and design work and utilizes theoretical and practical engineering knowledge. Works closely with other designer and engineers to ensure coordination of designs and their respective updates/changes.
Possesses self-start initiative and a positive teamwork attitude toward execution of assignments.

Must be organized, results-oriented, pay attention to detail and provide consistent follow-up on issues.
Required Qualifications (Include only minimum years of experience and education requirements):
Work experience as Mechanical Field Engineer in Nuclear industry.
Work experience with Construction Work Packages In Nuclear industry.
Experience with Solidworks or Autocad.
Work Experience in reading 2D mechanical drawings.
Competent with mechanical drawings conventions: weld symbols (AWS D1,1, D1.6), dimensions, first angle projection, metric, asymmetric views, codes and standards (ASTM, ASME)
High school diploma or GED with completed coursework in drafting and CAD, plus minimum of
5+ years of directly related experience.
An A.A. degree may substitute for equivalent years of work experience.
Competent In the use of personal computers using common workplace software applications associated with Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Word and Excel.
Familiarity with mechanical equipment automation and low-speed material movement equipment.
Certified Solidworks Associate, Professional, or Expert would highly consider for this position.
Glovebox Design Experience
Familiar with nuclear chemical reprocessing and/or nuclear fuel fabrication equipment.
