The Architect 1 will be responsible for performing architectural design and modelling of Category I structures, and prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections and details through use of Microstation and all other Office related software.
Champion the commitment to safety, security, environmental and quality priorities and values throughout the Client Project
Work with senior Architects and Engineers to obtain on-the-Job training and develop practical job knowledge
Prepare estimates and designs in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget
Review model for code compliance, writing specifications, inspecting material end system Installations.
Provide construction support of architectural design (finish schedule, door schedule, penetration schedule etc).
Apply QA procedures relating to project planning, analyses, specifications, drawings and software,
Communicate clearly with peers, technical and non-technical personnel, designers and other disciplines
Required Qualifications (Include only minimum of experience and education requirements):
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates and at all levels of the organization
Knowledge of construction standards, techniques and criteria
Strong oral and written communication and Interpersonal skills
Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of design specific software programs
Architecture Internship experience
Experience with Microstation and 3-D modeling/BIM
Experience with Building and Life-safety code
