The Document Control Manager will be a degree qualified professional capable of reviewing existing operations within an organisation through all the project phases (processes and procedures in both office and site), assessing both the strengths and weaknesses and assisting in compiling a bespoke set of process and procedures of all of the activities including but not limited to quality, progress, commercial matters, value, safety, design and construction.
As a minimum qualification he/she must have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a related field, 10 years experience, have a sound working knowledge of document control management systems, including distribution flow, correspondence status either in a project or office environment and be capable of teaching a large number of government employees on how to operate the bespoke document control system, Aconex.
The Document Control Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Client reputation with the project and developing effective long term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group,.
An experienced Document Controller with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi functional projects.
Knowledge of project controls procedures.
A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate should also be able to drive for a successful delivery.
Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
Investigate existing document control/ management system and identify areas of strengths and weaknesses
Assist in compiling a bespoke document control procedure and training others in the use thereof
Act as administrator for document control software
Other duties as requested from time to time.
