We are currently recruiting for a Business Manager to join our team. The business manager is responsible for administering the Company contract with the Client and is the point of contact for Cost & Payroll, annual budgets, contract releases and audits. Site and main office cost and payroll personnel report to the Business Manager. He/she is responsible for all activities below as well as maintaining relationships with the client. The Business Manager reports to the Executive Director. The following activities fall under the purview of the Business Manager:
Estimating (as required)
Administering the primary contract terms for opportunities to improve profitability, processes and defend change orders
Developing project-specific subcontract documents
Preparing monthly reports for presentation to the Company Corporate Management
Monitoring and analyzing work progress against schedules and facilitating timely schedule analysis reports which indicate delays, changes, and other problem areas impacting the project profitability
Monitoring actual job costs against the budget and facilitating timely analysis of variances to budgets and forecasts that require contingencies or impact performance
Providing oversight of subcontracts to ensure cost reporting is compatible with cost control documentation and consistent with the objectives of the project
By mutual agreement with the Company ED, has final authority within the Company organization to authorize managed contractors for the Company
Overseeing the procurement and contract administration functions including the achievement of buy down targets
Establishing and maintaining a contract change control program that processes all changes that impact cost and schedule including the timely submittal and resolution of all changes to the baseline project scope
Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Microsoft Office experience
3. Expert in Microsoft Access and SQL
4. 5+ years of related experience
5. Nuclear experience is a plus
