SHINE Medical Technologies is immediately seeking a Procurement Leader, reporting directly to the CFO, with a strong background and driven personality to mobilize, direct, and manage all SHINE purchasing activities for the construction and operation of a nuclear medical isotope production facility regulated by the NRC.

The Procurement Leader will work with all divisions of the company to lead day-to-day procurement activities including the solicitation of vendor services and equipment required to complete the production facility and establish commercial operation. During the design and construction phase, the Procurement Leader will be responsible for maximizing both cost and schedule efficiency of complex chemical, nuclear, and/or pharmaceutical equipment, materials, and supplies as well as coordinating with third-party engineers and contractors regarding product specifications, performance requirements, lead times, and delivery expectations before and during construction.
During the operations phase, the Procurement Leader will continue to manage all aspects of SHINE Procurement activities including partnering and consulting with senior management to identify performance gaps and enhancements needed to improve procurement and supply chain performance in a nuclear environment. This role will also be responsible for establishing and monitoring an inventory control program for a manufacturing environment, instituting policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics and analyzing this data to identify issues or changes in materials and suppliers to find ways to reduce costs, improve quality and/or increase productivity. The Procurement Leader will also develop and manage the Procurement department budget and create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.

Additionally, this role will provide direction in translating product requirements into Request-for-Proposal (RFP) documents for distribution to vendors, negotiating with vendors regarding product metrics, pricing, and lead times, and assisting with creation, review, and tracking of purchase orders and contracts during both the design and operation stages. Experience in a Nuclear Construction and/or Operations environment with requirements and implementation involvement preferred.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls regulations (U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee). Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug test, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.
