Seeking qualified Archaeological Field Technicians to assist with archaeological construction monitoring work. Pay will be commensurate with skills and experience.
A B.A/B.S in Anthropology/Archaeology and completion of an accredited field school are required. Successful applicants will be in good physical condition and have experience performing daily archaeological fieldwork in a variety of field conditions. Knowledge of precontact and historical-period archaeology of the Puget Sound, WA Region is necessary. The ability to recognize and document artifacts and or other cultural materials, ability to write detailed daily field notes, photographs of artifacts and discoveries, and mapping discovery locations where that may be necessary. The ability to work independently is essential to this position. Past experience conducting archaeological monitoring in the Pacific Northwest, working with and around construction equipment and communication with operators, and trench safety are highly desirable.
