The Piping/Mechanical Field Engineer 3 or 4 is responsible for coordinating the day to day piping incitation activities on the Client project. The individual in this role ensures adherence to design basis and quality requirements or all assigned Pipe/ Mechanical and support incitation work. Support for these activities includes.
Provides technical assistance to the Piping Supervisor and Superintendent and keeps them informed on matters relating to quality and quality control
Performs coordination and communications with Design Engineering to resolve technical problems.
Initiates, coordination and overseas the implementation of design changes.
General coordination with multiple groups across jobsite (craft, design, QC, subcontractors, etc)
Support the Piping Supervisor and Superintendent in resolving issues related to applicable piping installations and activities.
Review of Work Packages in planning, working and closure.
Update work packages and/ or create additional steps for appropriate changes.
Initiating, reviewing, implementing, and/or dispositioning change requests such as Field Change Notices, Field Change Requests, Non-conformance Reports, conditioned reports, and other Technical documentation.
In-Process and Final inspections of Mechanical components and communicating the readiness for Final Inspection with QC.
Acquiring and maintaining as-bulk information for pipe installation.
Request material transfers and/or material verification from warehouses.
Report weekly on installed piping/ mechanical quantities and status.
Performing field walk-downs and inspections to review work for conformance with design requirements, applicable codes/standards and project procedures.
Updating schedulers/ Project controls of work completed.
Review/ interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other documents.
Observes and ensures construction practices, as required for compliances of construction operations/ execution with federal, state and local codes, industry standards, company procedures and contractual requirements.
Achieve successful completion of assigned work responsibilities on time, within budget, schedules and contract requirements.
Champion the commitment to safety, security, environmental and quality priorities and values throughout the Client project.
Execute the required duties and activities with no technical direction.
Review/ Interpret design drawings for constructability.
Provide clarifications of drawings, specifications and other technical documents as necessary to support construction.
Coordinating inspection and testing activities.
Reviews the project schedule and works with the applicable Supervisor and Superintendent and supports work implementation as required.
Serve as a resource and direct supervisor for training/ mentoring colleagues with less experience.
Provide construction engineering support to all Superintendents and resolve issues related to construction engineering.
Revise and review revisions to project procedures as needed.
Cross discipline review of design documents and interface with client, vendor and other disciplines as required.
Attend any and all job related meeting as required.
Report daily, weekly and/or monthly to Construction Engineering Manager on instated quantities and status.
Required Qualifications (include only minimum years of experience and education requirements):

For mechanical CFE3:

Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of experience in Mechanical/ Piping field engineering or other related fields OR Associates degree with 9 or more years of experience in Mechanical/ Piping field Engineering or other related fields OR
High school diploma with 11 or more years of experience in Mechanical/ Piping field Engineering or other related fields
For mechanical CFE4:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, construction management, or other related disciplines plus 7 Years’ experience in engineering, construction, design or related discipline, preferably in the Nuclear industry OR Associates or Technical degree with 11 years’ experience in Engineering, construction, design or related discipline OR High school diploma or GED with 13 years’ experience in in Engineering, construction, design or related discipline
Capable of using basic MS-Office applications (Outlook, word, excel, access….etc)
Extensive knowledge of the mechanical/ Piping construction process
Ability to read and interpret schematic design drawings.
Desired Qualification (Include only desire/ preferred qualifications, certifications, and education beyond the minimum require)

Capable of using programs such as AutoCAD or Microstation, Smart Plan, and/ or support modeler
Prior Nuclear experience
Working knowledge of other discipline scopes, roles, and responsibilities.
Working knowledge of OSHA and other construction related rules and regulations
Strong math aptitude, analytical, and problem solving steps.
Experience in construction management, project management, and/ or supervision
Ability to foster a leadership environment that encourages performance, growth, and satisfaction for employees.
Organization and delegation capabilities.
Capable of using programs such as AutoCAD and Microstation.
Familiarity with PDS Smartplant review and Support modeler software applications.
