Glovebox Construction Field Engineer, Aiken, SC *** NO PER DIEM LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED**
The process Unit/Glovebox Construction Field Engineer 3 or 4 is responsible for supporting daily field construction activities related to the process unit /glovebox group on the Aiken project. The individual within this role ensures adherence to design basis and quality requirements for all assigned process unit/glovebox and support installation work. Support for these activities includes:
Review of work packages in planning, working and closures
Provide technical assistance to the Process Unit Supervisor and Superintendant and keeps them informed on matters relating to quality and quality control
Update Work Packages and or create additional steps for appropriate changes
Initiating, reviewing, implementing and or dispositioning change requests such as Field change notices, Field change requests. Nonconformance Reports and other technical documentation.
Acquiring and maintaining as-built information for installations
Performing field walk downs and inspections to review work for conformance with design requirements, applicable codes/standard and project procedures.
Request material transfers and/or material verification from warehouses
Updating schedulers/project controls of work completed
Coordinating inspection and lasting activities
General coordination with multiple groups across jobsite (craft, design, QC, subcontractors etc.)
Review/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other documents
Execute the required duties and activities with no technical direction
Review/interpret design drawings for constructability
Revise and review revisions to project procedures as needed
Cross discipline review of design documents and interface with client, vendor, and other disciplines as required
Provide clarifications of drawings, specifications, and other technical documents as necessary to support Process Unit Construction
Reviews the project schedule and working with the applicable Supervisor and Superintendant, supports work implementation as required
Observes and ensures construction practices as required for compliances of construction operations/execution with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements
Achieve successful completion of assigned work responsibilities on time, within budget, schedules, and contract requirements
Adhering to and promoting safe work practices
Serve as a resource and direct supervisor for training/mentoring colleagues with less experience
Attend any and all job related meetings as required
Report daily, weekly, and/or monthly to Director of Construction Engineering on installed quantities and status
Required Qualifications (include only minimum years of experience and education requirements):
To qualify as a CFE3:
Bachelors Degree with four (4) or more years experience in Construction Field Engineering or other related industry fields
Associates or Technical Degree with six (6) or more years experience in Construction Field Engineering or other related industry fields
High School Diploma or GED with ten (10) or more years experience in Construction Field Engineering or other related industry fields
To qualify as a CFE4
Bachelors Degree with eight (8) or more years experience in Constructions Field Engineering or other related industry fields
Associates or Technical degree with ten (10) or more years experience in Construction Field Engineering OR
High School Diploma or GED with fifteen (15) or more years experience in Construction Field Engineering or other related industry fields
