Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract

System One is recruiting for a Sr. Procedure Writer for our client in Port Gibson, MS. This is a 12 month contract assignment. 

Sr. Procedure Writer Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Previous nuclear experience
Must have experience in associated discipline. Operations, Electrical, Mechanical or I&C
Operations procedure writers must have operational experience and have been licensed or certified on a BWR
Must be PPA certified
Must have previous procedure writing experience
Typing - 80+ wpm
Ability to work with the following products:
Microsoft Office Word and Word Templates
Microsoft Visio or Publisher
PDf Exchange Editor
Microsoft Excel Data Base Input
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to remain flexible in changing priorities

Sr. Procedure Writer Responsibilities:

Provide technical review of the reformatted procedures to insure they are technically accurate, follow the approved format, contain the human factors upgrades and verify the commitments are still required and are included in the procedure.
Perform independent reviews of other procedure writers outputs to insure accuracy and quality.
Be able to coordinate with the procedure owners and the shops to insure stakeholder needs are met.
Perform in field walk downs as needed to validate procedure accuracy.
Must have previous nuclear experience and experience in the associated discipline.
Take an existing procedure, regardless of which format it may be in, and reformat it into the approved procedure template. This activity may require the procedure to be retyped in its entirety.
Typically most of the reformatting can be accomplished by cutting and pasting form the existing procedure into the new procedure format.
