The CTAC Training Coordinator(TC) is responsible for maintaining all aspects of training and qualification documents and training, and informal Waste Isolation Pilot Plant training courses and briefings. The TC is also responsible for proctoring examinations and scheduling attendees for training classes.
Other duties will include coordination of new employee orientation (including computer support, phone logistics, WIPP badging, and general employee training). The TC will be qualified and function as an office warden and will be responsible for managing the inventory of government property maintained by CTAC. The TC may be asked to perform as a back-up for other positions. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor Degree and five years of experience or ten years of relevant experience are required.
Five years of experience in the nuclear industry.
The qualified candidate must possess a combination of education and related work experience sufficient to meet the knowledge and capability of an experienced training coordinator. The qualified candidate must also understand the requirements and importance of maintaining accurate training records and maintaining the system for records retrieval. The qualified candidate must also be familiar with, or be capable of learning, the training requirements in U.S. Department of Energy / Carlsbad Field Office implementing procedures and ASME NQA-1-1989 for lead auditor/technical specialist within 90 days of hire.
The preferred candidate must demonstrate knowledge and experience in business etiquette and professionalism necessary to perform records management functions. The preferred candidate will have functional knowledge of access databases and word processing applications and other MSOffice applications such as Excel and PowerPoint. The qualified candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be self-motivated.
