DescriptionResponsible for electric plant analysis products, such as power systems analysis, fault current analysis, circuit breaker coordination, electric plant stability analysis, voltage drop analysis, and Battery sizing, and DC load flow analysis. Need an understanding of electrical components, digital-based components used in power systems, power plant operations, and power system analysis. *Perform modeling of plant primary electrical equipment (480V- 500kV)
Perform load flow analysis of plant primary electrical equipment (480V- 500kV)
Perform fault current analysis and coordination studies for plant primary electrical equipment (120V- 500kV)
Perform arc-flash studies for plant equipment
Perform modeling of plant 125/250 VDC equipment
Perform load flow analysis of plant 125/250 VDC equipment
Perform Battery sizing calculations
Develop protective relay setpoints for Generators, Transformers, Motors, Buses, and other major plant equipment.
Experience modeling motors and dong transient analysis for plant equipment.
Experience with software tools to perform above mentioned analyses (e.g. ETap)
Able to Troubleshooting switchgear and relay controls electrical systems.
Ensure that electrical engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and studies are conducted according to IEEE and NFPA standards
Occasionally work in the field assisting on shut-downs, startups and maintenance projects.
Work with staff on the estimating and bidding of new projects
Nuclear Power plant experience in modifications and design including digital upgradesAbility to troubleshooting instrument and control systems.Ensure that engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and studies are conducted according to IEEE and NFPA standardsOccasionally work in the field assisting on shut-downs, startups, commissioning, and maintenance projects. Work with staff on the estimating and bidding of new projectsPosition Level: It can be Level 3 (senior Engineer) or Level 4 (Senior Staff engineer) based on the Experience and and/or Skills.
QualificationsMinimum:B. S. in Engineering or equivalent Technical degree
Minimum of 6 years experience
6 or more years solid performance with last two in top half of Engr 2 band
Individual Contributor competencies, with
demonstration of FLS competenciesPreferred:Professional Engineer Registration
Advanced technical degree or related
