A total of 4 four construction shift supervisors are needed to support a Department of Energy (DOE) client. Position responsibilities and job requirements are as follows:
-Coordination of assigned construction field work and craft oversight and supervision.
-Ensuring field work activities are performed in accordance with the written work plan, and implementation of Environmental, Safety and Health requirements.
-Perform daily Prejob Briefings ensuring hazards are identified and mitigated.
-Has responsibility and authority for the successful completion of the construction scope in accordance with company and customer requirements.
-Provides daily direction of Construction Coordinators, craft job supervisors/foremen to ensure work on the play of the day (POD) is properly prioritized and performed
-Interfaces in the Facility POD meetings (for that shift) reporting task completion and planned work to be performed
-Ensures construction supervisors/foreman have management support to perform work in accordance with the schedule
-Interfaces with operations to ensure preparations for planned work are understood and completed to allow work to be performed as scheduled
-Addresses issues impeding work performance and progress in a timely manner
-Ensures work order/work control paper work is completed in timely and efficient manner to allow MAXIMO closeout
-Ensures Construction operations are conducted within the facility Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirement (TSR) requirements, criticality safety requirements, DOE regulations, and environmental regulations and permits, in accordance with the approved work control.
-Monitors and ensures schedule compliance
-Responsible for implementation of work control, coordination with Facility Management, Subject Matter Experts and multiple support organizations.
-Some subcontractor/vendor coordination may be required
-Communicate fully with Construction Manager and report daily and weekly status.
-Responsible to provide daily direction to diverse work groups that will include union craft.
-Will be required to provide daily shift turnover to oncoming Construction Shift Supervisor(s)
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
-May be required to support multiple projects or field work activities
-Responsible to provide field work feedback and lessons learned upon completion of tasks
-Interfaces include Project and Construction Management, Operations Supervision, Maintenance, ES&H, Engineering, QA, Planning, vendors, etc.
Labor category and level:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Project or Construction Management OR Engineering field or equivalent job-related experience.
•Minimum of 8 years job related experience and 5 years’ experience working at a nuclear facility
•Minimum 2 years of subcontractor management experience
