Procedure Solutions Management, LLC (PSM) is seeking a Procedure Technical Writer for a project in Auburn, CA 

Position Summary

The Senior Technical Writer collaborates with Hydro/Fossil personnel in writing, updating, and maintaining gas guidance documents, internal business processes, and other documentation.  The role within this department requires an individual to have the ability to work and communicate effectively and demonstrate by personal action a 100% commitment to employee and public safety. The expectations for the work products are to provide clear and easily understood manuals, standards and procedures that are in alignment with the company's guidance document initiative. They are the foundation for employee training and support and guide work practices on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Writing - Collaborates with standards engineers, hydro and fossil operations subject matter experts, and technical document management colleagues, to develop documents that are clear, concise, easy to follow, grammatically correct, technically accurate, compliant with company document writing requirements, and in accordance with state and federal documentation regulations. Edits existing company documentation as needed, in the same collaborative manner described above. Completes document editing and development within established time frames. Translates complex technical issues into documentation that is easy to understand and use for both technical and non-technical audiences. Uses command of written communication and careful attention to detail to proofread and edit large documents quickly and meticulously.

Minimum Requirements

  BA/BS in English, Technical Writing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  Two years of related work experience

Experience in content management in the development of a wide range of business documentation deliverables.
Use of technical knowledge and ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Ability to work with a high degree of integrity both independently and as part of a team.
Expert user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio; and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
Detail oriented, must be able to pay acute attention to detail
Ability to translate ideas into finished products
Previous experience in developing technical specifications and documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
