One of our clients, an Electric Power Utility, has an urgent need for a Project Scheduler. This is a long-term contract assignment projected to begin in early June and last at least 1 year. This opportunity is located in a low cost of living area, close to the amenities of a major metropolitan area with an international airport making for easy travel. There are plenty of outdoor activities including boating, fishing, and hiking, with lakes, rivers and mountains all close by!
As the Project Scheduler you will design, develop, implement and maintain project schedules. You will set up tasks and sub-tasks to ensure satisfactory project completion. You will interact with customers and the project team to coordinate assignments and schedule the work. You will maintain detailed schedules up-to-date and evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify any problem areas. You will analyze critical path and associated constraints to determine the effect of changes to the schedule and recommend work-arounds as needed to manage risks. You will assist the project team to maintain timely and meaningful project reporting.
The qualified candidate for Project Scheduler MUST have:
* Three (3)+ years Project Scheduling experience required.
* Proficient with MS Project Online.
* Experience with scheduling IT type projects desired.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Immediate availability.
* Excellent references.
