Performs work related to the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of plant equipment as a member of the Integrated Valve Team.


Performs maintenance, inspections, repair, testing, and troubleshooting on actuator and valve equipment.
Repairs valves, actuators, and any subcomponents to the valve and/or actuator.
Implements and performs preventive maintenance on plant valve equipment.
Identifies problems, defects, and failures that degrade component and system integrity and reliability.
Assists Engineering with testing and evaluations. Performs skilled work involving valve diagnostic testing to properly setup of valves and diagnose any potential anomalies within the valve or actuator.
Performs technical reviews of procedures and other plant documents.
Serves as a member of the ENS Integrated Valve Team Outage Organization / Shared Resourcing.
Must be willing to be crossed trained in all aspects of valve repair and diagnostics. Including AOV, MOV, and internal valve repair.

Minimum education required of the position
High School Diploma or equivalent. Related vocational, trade school, apprentice program, or equivalent military training preferred.

Minimum experience required of the position
Mechanic Plant I: No prior experience required, however, experience in nuclear power plant maintenance preferred.
Mechanic Plant II: 2-4 years of commercial nuclear experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Ability to disassembly, repair, calibrate, setup, and test valves, actuators, and positioners. Must be knowledgeable in Nuclear power plant maintenance to include: rigging and material handling, electrical terminations, torqueing, diagnostic testing, and valve actuator instrument calibrations. Must have the ability to read prints, verbal and written comprehension, and the ability to troubleshoot and then repair valve equipment.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Successful completion of the EEI MASS test.
