Be a part of the future of nuclear with SHINE. We are building the first medical isotope production facility in the US since the 1980’s and are immediately seeking a Director of Engineering to lead all engineering activities from design through construction and commissioning.

Keys to the role include:
• Leading and mentoring a cutting-edge multi-program team of design engineers,
• Deep technical knowledge and understanding of design codes and standards applicable to chemical processing facilities, and
• Experience in design management and construction oversight for large-scale facility construction projects.

Target hires will have 10+ years’ experience managing a design organization in critical safety or medical applications, requiring high attention to detail, experience interacting with federal and state regulators, technical understanding of design codes and standards for the chemical processing industry, power industry, or similar, and experience in large-scale facility construction where a design management or oversight role was performed.

Preferred candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit. SHINE is building a first of a kind facility and technology where you can put your passion to work. Join our team and be a part of the nuclear future as we turn bombs into medicine!

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls regulations (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee or Refugee). Also, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards information which typically requires pre-employment drug test, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.

SHINE values diversity in all its forms as a critical component of innovation, which is fundamental to our success. Every member of the SHINE community benefits from the talents and experiences of our peers, from the mutual respect we exercise, and from the responsibility we take for our actions.
