Engineer II
Requirements:
• BS Degree and 4+ years’ experience
• Master’s degree and 2+ years’ experience
• Doctorate

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Contributing professional who is building a reputation for technical expertise.
• Fully applies and interprets standard theories, principles, methods, concepts, tools, and technologies within specialty where casual relationships are progressively difficult to establish.
• Continues developing technical expertise, knowledge, and new skills.
• Independently completes recurring assignments.
• Makes preliminary selections and adaptations of technical alternatives.
• Participates in peer review work of others.
• Networks effectively with technical peer group.
• Promotes spirit of cooperation, teamwork, resource sharing and mutual respect.
• May participate in professional activities, university interactions, special assignments and external special interest groups.
• Takes initiative to participate in establishing organizational goals and direction and reviews plans.
• Contributes to development of new capabilities within the division.
• Contributes to scientific and technical products such as patents, software, journal papers, reports, proceedings and policies.
• May contribute to the development of intellectual property leading to patents, publications and or copyrights.
• Receives guidance on new technical aspects in assignments.
