Roles and Responsibilities:
Selects and widely applies principles, theories and concepts in major field of specialization. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
Directs technical projects that may involve multidisciplinary activities.
Works on unusually complex problems with little or no precedence and uses specialized techniques to provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Determines or approves technical approach for solving problems and meeting client needs.
Fully competent scientist / engineer contributing to science and technology solutions in the conventional aspects of discipline specialty. PI or Co-PI on multiple or significant projects or tasks.
Guides the successful completion of major programs.
Organizational objectives are dependent on upon decisions or recommendations. Leads and or provides peer review work of other internal or external to division.
Interacts with technical networks within Lab and across BMI.
Recognized as expert by peer network and clients.
Leads mentoring and training activities for technical staff across division.
Builds a high performance team across organization.
Participates in professional activities and or external collaborations.
Influences program/project scientific or engineering standards and procedures.
Influences division, product line and or section strategies, and directions.
