System One is looking for an experienced QC Electrical inspector or professional for a long-term Electrical Oversight position at a DOE facility in New Mexico.
Must have QC Electrical inspection and oversight experience. DOE experience preferred.
Seeking an electrical inspector with extensive experience in DOE projects as well as proficient in the maintenance, installation, and repair of various electrical systems such as lighting, fire, and HVAC, and powering professional and personal electrical equipment. Responsible for assuring compliance with all approved submittals, specifications, standards, codes, and drawings. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, good independent decision-making capabilities, and a clear understanding of when issues need to get escalated.
Generate daily inspection report for construction activities
Ensure compliance with the specifications, drawings, and standards
Act as source of field Quality Assurance, and monitor the Contractors Quality Control processes and QC Inspection reporting and corrective actions
Assure that the work conforms to Construction Documents, and initiate action to prevent, stop or correct any QC deficiencies, defective work, or deficient QC reports
Conduct spot surveillance of all craft disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical; specializing in electrical) to assure high quality standards of workmanship are maintained
Ensure the development and maintenance of the As-Built drawing records
