JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for developing Design Engineering Department Work Schedules.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain the detailed work schedule for Design Engineering tasks, primarily Engineering Changes and their associated Milestone Schedules. Interface with the System Engineering Work Management Coordinator for scheduling of cross discipline work items.
Develop and maintain detailed schedules for Design Engineering disciplines. Develop and maintain resource loading profiles. Interface with other River Bend work group representatives, such as Planning and Outage Management and Projects, to integrate the Engineering Change schedules into the site work schedule.
Review specific scope of work orders and make recommendations for scheduling. Develop 'what if' schedules and perform analysis with the working groups to determine the most effective method of scheduling the work. Identify support activities and add these activities to the schedule.
Facilitate the interface between work groups. Identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions to schedule conflicts. Recommend changes to existing methods, procedures, and processes to improve overall outage activities. Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
Interface with Business Services and Project Controls to develop project forecast analysis and perform cost analysis for design modifications. Update Business Services Capital and O&M spreadsheets for actual and forecast projections.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience defined as demonstrated success at the engineer or technical specialist level.)

Minimum experience required of the position

Engineering Scheduler II – III: 2 - 4 years’ experience in nuclear power design.
Scheduler Sr: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in nuclear power design, operations, cost analysis or equivalent
Highly Desired: experience in scheduling projects and cost analysis for projects

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Good to excellent communication skills and experience.
Proficiency in PC use and associated applications.
Must be proficient with the use of P6 and P16 Primavera scheduling tool.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Desired qualification: Project Management Professionsal (PMP)

WORKING CONDITIONS:
