Information Management IT Operations Support SME
The Mission Support Alliance (MSA) requires an Information Technology (IT) Operations Support specialist for the Information Management Department.
The IT Operations Support specialist will support the MSA IT Infrastructure Services department as an overall project specialist related to facility support, maintenance activities and upgrade strategies for equipment.
The Operations Specialist shall have expertise, knowledge and insight into the interworking of the IM facility maintenance, systems operations and equipment handling
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
MSA IT Infrastructure Services Organization, Network and Telecommunications Engineering Group, Network Maintenance and Management, providing guidance on a number of facility related issues as needed or directed by MSA BuyersTechnical Rep (BTR).
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Flexibility and Understanding of Industrial controls for various facilities and equipment across a large area with multiple functions and requirements.
Understand and follow policies and procedures designed to protect employees against workplace hazards.
Involve subject matter experts in the planning review/approval process
Understanding of the software AutoCAD up to release 2017.
Must be able to create and maintain AutoCAD CUI files and disperse in an enterprise environment.
Must be able to create custom AutoLisp programs to satisfy telecom/network engineering, drafting, maintenance and planning requirements.
Maintain existing AutoLisp programs.
Understand GIS concepts and practices used in telecommunications environment.
Auditing and As-built project coordination for all facility related maintenance and management initiatives
3+ years of work experience related to Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and computer systems Understanding needs of various IT Systems, data centers and telephone,systems as pertaining to facilities.
3+ years Project Management work experience
Strong understanding of electrical systems and theory.
Strong understanding of industrial controls.
Strong understanding of Mechanical related systems and theory.
Inside & outside plant Infrastructure Installation.
5+ years AutoCAD experience
5+ years Visual Lisp programming experience
Possess strong organizational skills
Create and Maintain Block Libraries
Create and maintain linetype files
Create and maintain specialty shape files
Possess the ability to create full function AutoLisp programs from concept to deployment
Possess DOS skills
Ability to work in a multi-task, multi-project development environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment
Highly self-motivated and self-directed
Strong customer relationship skills
Ability to work during non-standard business hours.
Integrated Safety Management System ISMS
Facility Access Control Systems Proxy, Omni-code etc.
2+ years Telecommunication and Network documentation experience
Outside Plant experience
Inside Plant experience
Logical Network Diagrams
Possess strong mapping background
C++, .Net, SQL
Knowledge of WEB based programming
GPS capture and conversion to dwg file format
Knowledge of NEC Chapter 2, Article 250, Grounding and Bounding
Knowledge of NEC Chapter 8, Communication Systems
Mapping Coordinate systems
Have strong understanding of relational database structure
Strong Telecommunication and Network Background
PAX/PAGE system Diagrams
SECURITY AND BADGING REQUIREMENTS:
A. For any on-site work, see On-Site Services Special Provisions for details.
B. The subcontractor shall wear a Buyer issued security badge identifying themselves. A minimum of two working days advance notice is needed for site badging.
C. Subcontractor employees will be required to submit to vehicle searches and not personally carry or transport certain prohibited articles.
D. If the Subcontractor under this scope of work will be required an access authorization (security clearance), then the following will apply. Will not require security clearance
WORK LOCATION / POTENTIAL ACCESS REQUIREMENTS:
SITE ACCESS AND WORK HOURS:
Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday.
Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and/or approved through the BTR and/or the contract Specialist prior to performing the work.
