Provide new hire safety orientations
Conduct Ergonomic evaluations
Process incidents and track action items to completion
Accident/Injury Investigations and reporting
Immediately notify General Manager, Employee Relations Manager and Corporate Safety Manager
Assist in completion and updates of OSHA Injury logs and post as required
Assist with case management of occupational and non-occupational incidents/injuries for special accommodations by customer (to promote employee return to work as quickly as safe to do so)
Respond to safety suggestions/issues
Review Job Demands and obtain signatures on updates
Attend safety meetings onsite, frequently attend tailgates meetings in particular janitors, gardeners/landscapers, etc.
Provide weekly, month, quarterly reports to management
Answer EE questions and/or refer to other PMO staff members and/or lab departments
Observe DDSLP custodians at least once per week, those with frequent safety issues follow up more often. Perform safety inspections on equipment/supplies as time allows (Vacuums/chemical storage, etc.) Are they using their PPE, and if so correctly. Monitor morning stretches with DDSLP.
Present safety refresher training to all employees
Provide safety tips to be posted on SL employee website
Conduct frequent inspection in areas where there is a large concentration of SL employees, see how they are doing, any safety concerns, process improvements, etc. Field Presence as often as possible.
Occasionally check in on (if not a restricted area) employees handling hazardous materials (cleanroom custodian) attend their shop safety meetings at least monthly
