Nuclear Safety Admin Specialist

• The objective of this subcontract is to provide an Administrative Specialist Staff Augmentation support services to the Nuclear Safety Engineering Organization.
• The individual performing the work is subject to controls, processes and procedures established by Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS).

• Supporting the Nuclear Safety Engineering Organization, serving as the single point-of- contact for the Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) process.
• Tracking and managing all company requested USQ’s.
• Performs work as part of a team under the general supervision of a Manager.
• Responsible for independently planning, expediting, organizing and performing a wide variety of specialized administrative and technical duties in support of schedule related tasks in order to achieve successful completion of project goals and deliverables.

Required Qualifications/Skills
• A Bachelor’s Degree in (BA/BS) in related field and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Fundamental knowledge of administrative processes. Comprehensive knowledge of multiple types of tracking systems and software.
• Maintain configuration control of hard and electronic copies.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, and management. Within broad constraints, exercise judgment needed to assure the project and operations USQ requests are met.
• Position requires the individual to have the ability to identify and evaluate problems and problem areas and assist management in implementing sound and effective solutions within the restraints of procedures.

Desired Qualifications/Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of company standard software.
• Hanford Tank Farms experience
• Acquainted in the USQ database and process.

• HGET is mandatory for HLAN and Site Access.

Work Location/Potential Access
• Work performed for this scope will be at the 2620 Fermi Building, Richland, WA 99354. Building specific access will need to be obtained.

Site Access/Work Hours
• Hanford personnel work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday.
• Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and approved by the Level 1 Manager prior to performing the work.
