General Description:
Serve as support for Contractor generated RFI's, insuring that engineering provides timely and accurate responses to all RFI's. Insure RFI Log is kept current and pro-actively participate in RFI process concerning potential cost and schedule impacts. Participate with Site Safety Manager in managing the Safety Plan by Continuous Observation of Field Work activates. Daily attendance of at least one Contractor's Tool Box Safety meeting. Attendance of Contractor's weekly Safety meeting and all Safety Stand-down meetings.
Review and approve Turn-over documentation under TCCC QA program
Provide accurate "As-Built” documentation as part of the project Turn-over Process.
Manage Construction Changes thru Management of Change (MOC) and related documentation including Log of Changes (LOC) for master set of PID.
Assist Site Material Manager as needed regarding issues that may arise pertaining to Owner furnished equipment and materials. Specifically, when the issues generates a Request for Information (RFI) and potential cost and schedule impacts.
Provide Continuous Monitoring of Contractor field activities to insure that all work is installed in accordance with contract documents (drawings, specifications, Tesoro Engineering Standards (TES), and all other engineering directives as issued through-out the course of the project.
Provide day to day guidance and support to Contractor, as needed, in the execution of the work.
Primary point of contact for Contractor as issues arise and coordination is needed with Plant Operations.
The Field Engineers shall observe and report on all Work that they are assigned to monitor, oversee and/or direct to ensure the Work is installed in conformance with the Tesoro Standards, Project Specifications, drawings, the project documents, governing regulations, and all attached codes and standards.

Field engineer mid-level: 4-10yrs of experience
Bachelor of Science in related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

The Technical Team includes a Construction Superintendent, Project Manager, 2 other Field engineers
What is the interaction level this resource will have with the team? The manager?
There will be weekly meetings, daily check ins with project managers, highly collaborative
What is driving the need for this resource?
Unforeseeable issues in the construction delays and additional resource needed to assisted to catch up

Job Description
Top 3-4 Required Skills (and years of experience):
Experience with Mechanical Engineering aspects of construction projects in the petro chemical industry
Demonstrated experience in working on large capital projects within the Petro Chemical industry that works with different stakeholders.
