Edgewater Technical Associates LLC is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Power and I&C Engineering opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
No per diem/Travel available.
Rate range - $29.21-$56.12
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in electrical/instrumentation systems design, installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and renovations.
• Familiarity with common instrumentation and control components for pumping systems, liquid flow monitoring, liquid level sensing, and alarm conditions monitoring
• Familiarity with instrumentation scaling, uncertainty and setpoint calculations for digital and analog control applications
• Familiarity with 480V, 220/208V, 120V, and low voltage power distribution systems
• Familiarity with and experience in implementation of NFPA 70 National Electric Code
• Experience in providing technical oversight and direction of work performed by electricians
• Experience in providing support to the preparation and implementation of work packages for modifications, repairs, or upgrades to electrical systems
• Experience in preparing and reviewing detailed calculations, reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner
• Experience in development of engineering change documentation for changes to existing electrical/instrumentation systems
• Experience specifying and procuring electrical/instrumentation equipment, including items that are listed, labeled or recognized by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory
• Functional with MS Word, Excel and Outlook software
Electrical Power and I&C Engineer to perform duties supporting UCOR projects and/or Electrical Engineering Program function. Project locations can include ETTP, ORNL and Y-12. Duties to include:
• Provide guidance and scope for electrical equipment/instrumentation installation, coordinate building work with construction
• Develop electrical and instrumentation engineering change documentation, and associated drawings/sketches
• Oversee the drawing revisions to incorporate electrical system/instrumentation changes
• Assist with development of maintenance work packages as well as new construction and process proposed changes from operations/maintenance
• Provide technical oversight of electrical/I&C field activities including troubleshooting, design changes, repairs and new installation
• Assist with the development, review, and approval of scopes of work, technical specifications, sole source justifications, purchase orders and other procurement aspects within the electrical/instrumentation scope
• Review electrical/I&C drawings, provide guidance for electrical components, and participate in a factory acceptance test
• Provide guidance and follow demolition of existing equipment for isolation and removal
