DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Job scope includes daily coordination with the WRPS project team in Richland, the on-site design authorities and in-house/off-site design agent teams together with resolution of RFI's, review of design schedules and deliverable review. This position will support multiple projects within the TFP Engineering organization.
Under general supervision, acts as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area of the assignments. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Demonstrates interpolative patterned thinking and requires minimal guidance.
May function as lead engineer on a task force or special assignment, coordinating the activities of the task force engineers.

&#61485; Provides engineering guidance, calculations, analysis, studies, and recommendations for a specialized segment of engineering within schedule and budget of an assigned project.
&#61485; Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.
&#61485; General knowledge of other related disciplines.
&#61485; Comply with WRPS policies and procedures.
&#61485; Ensure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization’s activities.
&#61485; Ensure accountable for safety based on the principles of no injuries to anyone.
&#61485; Set challenging goals for personal and group accomplishments.
&#61485; Set high standards of performance for self and others.
&#61485; Develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
&#61485; Support preparation of Statements of Work, design products, procurements, specifications, etc.
&#61485; Provide technical and programmatic leadership, including coordination of activities with multiple internal and external entities, performing technical and cost/benefits evaluations, and developing task plans and schedules.
&#61485; Provide oversight of and technical direction to design, fabrication, and construction subcontractors.
&#61485; Prepare and approve design media.
&#61485; Prepare and approve Engineering documents, evaluations, and calculations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• U. S. Citizen
• BS Degree in Electrical or I & C Engineering with a minimum of 10 years related experience.
• Experience with nuclear application of engineering tasks.
• Experience with troubleshooting and testing network connections.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones.
• Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management.
• Must take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities.
