Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent is required. Associates or B.S. degree in engineering or technical field is desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including unique software/hardware requirements)
Qualified to perform high precision measurements, detailed inspections of machined parts and assembled components; as demonstrated by experience and certifications.
Certificates and Licenses
1. Qualification or certification as a Level II QC Mechanical Inspector
2. Familiarity with ASME, AWS, IEEE, NFPA and other construction codes is desirable
Requirements for the employee to occasionally work in awkward positions, bend, climb, lift and/or move heavy objects - estimate frequency and amount of weight involved. Travel and schedule flexibility is required. Must be able to bend, climb ladders, and squat to inspect equipment. Occasionally may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work standing up for extended periods and walk significant distances across PPPL sites and at vendor/supplier locations.
First shift work with occasional 2nd shift work.
Willingness to travel to vendors/suppliers
