Desired Qualifications: The successful candidate will be responsible for assuring the documentation and performance of construction work activities, engineering analyses, and required testing provide objective evidence to meet the design commitment and acceptance criteria for the inspections, tests, and analyses related to requirements listed in the Vogtle 3&4 UFSAR. This position requires technical expertise, nuclear regulatory acumen, and project management skills. This position includes coverage for U3 & U4 Electrical and I&C Construction related ITAAC for the Nuclear Island.
Bachelors degree from an Engineering major is required, Electrical Engineering degree is preferred
Minimum five (5) years combined experience in one or multiple of the following:
Plant Modifications, Engineering Design, Regulatory Affairs, Simulator/HFE, SRO is preferred, System Engineering, Construction Engineering
Preferred Attributes:
Previous experience working in plant construction, ITAAC, regulatory compliance
Ability to interpret electrical and I&C design drawings
Previous construction field work package review desired
Knowledge of NRC and Industry codes and standards for construction
Proven ability to succeed while working on cross-functional project teams
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
Ability to achieve issue resolution among diverse organizations
10 CFR 52 Licensing process experience and/or Familiarity with AP 1000 plant
Will work approximately 10% field work and 90% office
Environmental Qualification and Seismic experience
Project Management Certification (PMP) or Professional Engineering License a plus
Perform system walkdowns requiring climbing scaffolding, etc.
