Job Location (site): Construction Site – Waynesboro, GA
• Work Environment: Office setting and walking around a construction site which will eventually transition to an operation facility
 The Communication Specialist is responsible for developing and executing Vogtle 3 and 4 employee communications strategies for the project. The candidate will carry out internal communication strategies that support the Vogtle 3 and 4 Project Goals:
o Safe, Quality, Compliant Construction
o Project Progress against Production and Schedule Targets
o Transition to Operations
Three to five years of experience in Journalism, Communications or equivalent preferred which would have included strategic planning, writing and execution.
 Proven experience developing, implementing and managing employee communication plans.
Outstanding writing skills and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to translate technical information in to useful information for a wide range of audiences.
Exceptional writer and editor thoroughly skilled in AP Style writing, presentations, message creation, correspondence and employee memos.
 Ability to work under tight deadlines while gathering information and presenting recommendations to various levels of employees.
 Must have ability to work within broad technical subject areas; possess sound judgment; be credible with executives; and have the utmost discretion with sensitive data while exhibiting a sense of urgency.
 Broad understanding and knowledge of communications technology and platforms, photography (still and video), layout and graphics.
Self-directed and innovative. Takes ownership and exhibits strong initiative.
Strong time and project management and organizational skills. Must be able to juggle multiple projects, clients and changing priorities while working in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment.
Strong issues management, listening, quality-control, research, project management, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
 Nuclear communications, utility communications and/or issue management experience a plus.
Strong computer skills with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
