RCS Corporation has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer located in Aiken, SC, Oak Ridge, TN or Richland, WA. This is a Direct Hire permanent position.

Our Client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based in our Aiken, SC, Oak Ridge, TN or Richland, WA office. This person shall possess strong technical and leadership skills with the ability to provide guidance and support to Electrical Engineers related technical issues that influence effective solutions for our customers.
Approve design engineering documentation related to SIS, analysis or review tasks.
Support SIS Engineers in their interface with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities.
Conduct technical work group meetings to discuss SIS related issues.
Oversee and approve the work of SIS Engineers for validation of experimental investigations and provides guidance in analyzing engineering problems, approves proposed solutions and alternatives, and provides recommendations.
Ensure compliance with ISA-84 / IEC 61511, and other functional safety standards as required.
Provide guidance on SIS related documents.
Provide SIS leadership on technical and procedural issues affecting customers.
Approve status reports and non-conformance for the SIS Engineers.
Provide guidance for the quality and effectiveness of independent protection layer (IPL) solutions throughout the life cycle.
Provide guidance and approves reports from SIS Engineers for identifying proper installations of SIS systems.
Is responsible for training and mentoring SIS Engineers.
Assure proper participation of SIS Engineers in major PHA/HazOp studies.
Approve Safety Requirement Specification (SRS) and document content.
Provide guidance for proper proof-test documents for end-to-end testing or partial-stroke testing.
Approve IPL rationalization studies or gap analysis.
Coordinate and works closely with SIS Team Lead on logistics, financial, and program management.
Support SIS Team Lead as a liaison with customers at all levels from quotation of work to final design and test activities for SIS Systems.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program and 7+ years of experience (preferred Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Nuclear Engineering degree)
Provide support, guidance, and approves SIL calculations
7+ years design/field experience on SIS Systems (Instrumentation and Controls)
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, EXCEL, Power Point, Project)
Professional presentation skills
Candidate must be able to travel on business as needed. (25-50% Travel)
Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen only. Dual Citizenship will not be accepted for this position
Possess strong leadership skills for guiding SIS Engineers
Thorough understanding of functional safety and safety integrity level (SIL) concepts
Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE)Significant plant experience dealing with SIS
Expert knowledge and understanding of process plant equipment and processes
Expert knowledge in instrumentation and controls (SIS, and SIS PLC programming & configuration experience)FAT, SAT and commissioning experience
Perform IPL rationalization studies. .
