TFE Carlsbad Operations Manager

The position of TFE Operation Manager is responsible for supporting the TFE Project Manager in the daily management of project operations, and client support for the assigned TFE Tasks Records Contract servicing Nuclear Waste Partnership.
1.Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project-tracking software.
2.Excellent computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Suite programs and IFMS software.
3.Possess planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to set clear and measurable goals.
4.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/JOB DUTIES:
1.Required: Five (5) years’ experience as a supervisor; due to the nature of the work, must be a US Citizen.
2.Preferred: BA/BS degree in Business Management or project related field; a Project Management Professional (PMP) credential; experience working in a DOE environment or equivalent experience.
3.Leads and directs assigned tasks/associates according to established Task statements of work (SOW) with the goal of continuous improvement.
4.Executes and monitors project progress/success. Provide direction and counseling to any associates not meeting job expectations.
5.Assists Project Manager in completing all project objectives, within budgetary constraints, and meeting all deadlines.
6.Assures proper training is completed and maintained for all assigned associates.
7.Manage/assists Project Manager with any changes in scope, cost, and schedule of project work.
8.Works closely with Project Manager to ensure smooth operation of the project, achieving all goals and objectives set forth.
9.Ensures all deadlines are met.
10.Maintains training and assigned responsibilities associated with Approving Official status for project associates with purchasing authority.
11.Prepares and updates project plans, integrated schedules and status reports as required.
12.Prepares and executes employee performance reviews/salary actions for direct and indirect reports as required.
13.Participates in all management, client, and employee meetings as needed.
14.Participates in all scheduled project activities promoting safety at all times.
15.Maintains all administrative functions/duties as required.
16.Updating/keeping all staff and clients informed of progress and pertinent issues.
17.Ensure that staff responsible submit timely information for the generation of client deliverable reports required at the beginning of each month.
18.Performs weekly communication meetings with TFE and Client personnel.
19.Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
20.Excellent time management skills.
21.Excellent conflict resolution skills.
22.Ability to work under pressure and to complete multiple deadlines.
23.Ability to communicate effectively with company corporate office personnel at all levels.
24.Must be able to travel in support of various contract or corporate activities when needed.

2.While performing the duties of this job, the individual will primarily be in an office setting. The individual will also regularly make on-site visits to various locations.
