4x10 work week. M-Th.
PMP Cert is highly preferred.
IT Project Experience is big plus.
Duration: 1 year
The Project Manager shall oversee approximately 3-5 assigned IT related projects out of the capital projects planned to be conducted in FY21. Project Manager will be responsible for management of IS projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope.
The Project Manager shall be responsible for the following:
Manage work in compliance and adhere to EN Project Management site-wide procedures and standards which include detailed expectations for managing, reporting, tracking, and closing projects.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure and report project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
8-10 years experience in project management OR PMP certification or equivalent
IT Project experience a plus
Knowledge of government agency standards and work environment
PMP Certification OR a minimum of 8 years experience. PMP is not required, but acceptable in place of years of experience. No Remote/Telecommute; contractor must sit at Columbia Generating Station and be able to obtain high-security "Green" badge. A local contractor is preferred, out of market is okay with an all inclusive rate as Per Diem isn't authorized for this posting.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing major projects for Energy Northwest using established project management methodology. The level of responsibility is projects with budgets in excess of $1,000,000. The purpose of this position is to achieve project objectives through focused planning, scheduling, and control of project activities. The Project Manager will also assist as a Project Estimator (PE) is responsible to scope, develop, coordinate, and communicate all levels of project and program estimates in support of Project Management at CGS. The PE will develop Preliminary estimates, Rough Order of Magnitude estimates, Budgetary estimates, and Definitive estimates as required by the project type and complexity. The PE will interface on a regular basis with Project Managers and will attend management level meetings as necessary (example is PRC). The PE will develop and maintain the estimating program and computer based estimating templates and tables. The PE will hold and electronically store / maintain all current estimate revisions and back up information. The PE will provide input to and operate under PM-2-8 (Project Estimating).
