Certified Records Manager

Location: Carlsbad, NM
Per Diem: No
Start Date: 8/24/2020
Duration: Temporary, Part-time
Pay Range: Commensurate with experience

The following explains the job responsibilities and expectations for all employees who are classified in this job description. The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant Records Archive Certified Records Manager is responsible for the WIPP Records Management Process program. The individual is the main point of contact for all records management issues at WIPP. Manages and directs active records system, inactive records systems, and records retention.

1.Training or previous experience in Documentum or another Electronic Records Management Software.
2.Strong Microsoft Office skills.
3.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4.Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Strong organization and planning skills.

1.Certified Records Manager designation with 5 years of experience in Department of Energy Records Management; due to the nature of the work, must be a US Citizen. Must be willing to travel.
2.BA/BS degree in related field preferred.
3.Must be able to travel in support of various contract or corporate activities when needed.
4.Provides technical guidance in creating, maintenance and storage of all WIPP records.
5.Makes Records Management Policy decisions with Project Manager approval.
6.Creates and implements records and information management processes that meet NARA and DOE requirements.
7.Creates and revises Records Management procedures.
8.Performs record retrievals.
9.Creates, manages, and performs Records Management training for Records Coordinators.
10.Assists DOE with records management processes.
11.Assists in audits and corrective actions.
12.Works with IT staff to evaluate and recommend electronic records management.
13.Supports site audits and assessments.
