Our client is a fast-growing and dedicated consulting company that specializes in complex engineering and scientific projects within the Nuclear sector – particularly focused on Department of Energy sites. Over the years they have cultivated relationships with a number of DoE National Laboratories as well as plants and worksites across North America to deliver projects, provide specialized thought leadership and consultancy as well as assisting in strategy and leadership issues. We are helping them to source project controls team members – specifically skilled in scheduling, planning and cost estimation for approximately 6 different current projects. The projects range in size and scope from enterprise construction projects related to nuclear, through weapons technology to environmental or health or security affairs.
These roles would be progression for junior project controls professionals with a minimum of 4 years of experience to start moving forward in their career to more responsibility and diverse scope projects. From a skills perspective, the right candidates would have experienced working in multi-disciplinary project controls environments within the energy sector (DoE highly preferred but not essential).
Candidates who specialize in planning and scheduling should have the following experience:
Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, schedule control, and schedule analysis
Knowledge and experience using scheduling software tools, Primavera P6 preferred.
Possess knowledge and technical skills with integration of all project controls system components.
On the cost side:
Experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost and variance analysis.
Knowledge of financial reporting systems and specific project code of accounts.
Experience in using cost processors such as Cobra.
General technology literacy with excellent Microsoft Office skills as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team are a pre-requisite for working with this company.

You should have completed extensive background checks in prior roles - Q clearance is highly attractive but not essential.
