[Training Specialist] Training Specialist I - Portsmouth, Kentucky

Position Overview
∑ Under general supervision responsible for providing support in the coordination, completion, tracking, and evaluation of key elements and processes of the DUF6 project training programs.
∑ The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Functional:
∑ Assists with providing training administrative support to organizations to assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of training program documents
∑ Supports the evaluation of training programs/profiles/qualification cards to ensure employees are qualified to perform their jobs, and are in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, specifications, laws and regulations
∑ Ensures the training implementation matrix (TIM) is accurate
∑ Contributes input to the contracting organization on training requirements for subcontractors
∑ Generates training reports
∑ Aids in locating external training resources
∑ Helps monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness
∑ Assists with periodic training program assessments
∑ Reports training delinquencies and deficiencies
∑ Promotes training program strengths/successes through closure of issues, assessment findings/observations and trends for continuous improvements
∑ Serves as a point-of-contact for training assessments and surveillances

∑ Possesses education or training relating to instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs
∑ Possesses working knowledge in the Systematic Approach to Training methodology to include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of DOE 426.2 training programs Maintains the judgment and discretion to properly discern and safeguard highly-sensitive information and documents, including company-proprietary information and classified or otherwise sensitive national security information
∑ Fosters and maintains a work environment of mutual respect and teamwork that encourages free and open expression of ES&H concerns and encourages a questioning attitude and expression of differing technical opinions
∑ Advocates and demonstrates a strong commitment to ES&H and a nuclear safety culture

Minimum Requirements
∑ Bachelorís Degree in training, education or related discipline or equivalent
∑ 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
∑ Intermediate PC skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat
