Our client is well regarded government contractor partnering with various DOE sites throughout the country, especially in the Southwest. They specialize in Nuclear industry including the energy and defense sectors. The client is a small business that continues to rapidly expand while championing honesty, integrity, safety, and security above all else.
We are helping them source a Senior Engineer- the engineer will assist the site in their production and management of fissile material critical for national defense and nuclear research.
What you will be doing:
Support the development of critical decision documentation for the multibillion-dollar project. Develop and lead a series of independent project reviews in advance of formal submittal to identify and resolve areas of deficiency. The role will focus on providing support to the DOEs site project scope, cost, schedule, and management plans necessary for the delivery of a Conceptual Design Report (CDR) by a set date while in accordance with DOE policy. Evaluate readiness to support Independent Project Review and Independent Cost Estimate by the NNSA that will follow submittal of the CDR. Assess the current state of planning/progress for the preparation of implementing strategies to gain an affirmative (IPR). Develop and provide recommendations to leadership team for implementation of an internal project review strategy. Prepare documents to assess actions need to be taken. Lead an internal mid-project (IPR).
You must have:
An active DOE clearance
10 years of experience
An Engineering degree
Familiarity with the DOE project management process
