[Operations Manager] Operations Support Specialist

Reporting to the project Work Control Manager this individual supports Work Management, Scheduling, Engineering, Operations, Demolition, and Maintenance to ensure field work activities are ready to support the project schedule.

Job Duties:
Tracking and expediting work packages, procedures, parts, and tools.
Drives operational priorities within the support organizations (RadCon, OS/IH, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.). Provides work progress, problems and concerns to management, including, reporting any changes in work scope, equipment configuration, materials, parts, etc.
Initiates corrective actions as required.
Maintains communication with support organizations to assure timely and efficient work package preparation in alignment with operational priorities. Attends and participates in daily and weekly project meetings as assigned. Ensure the materials, parts, and tools are on hand (working with engineering, material coordinators, tool cribs, and procurement). Provide inputs, updates and status to the schedule.
Supports driving work package review, approval, and closure. Provides backup to the work control organization in the role of Scheduler and Preventative Maintenance Coordinator. Provides support to the project as the primary Work Control Center point-of-contact. Provides backup function as Job Control System Administrator.
Performs other duties as assigned by facility management.

Required Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus
1 or more year’s relevant work experience (work management, operations, expediting, and maintenance) on the Hanford Site.
Must be safety conscious and have ability to work in a fast paced, compliance driven atmosphere.
Strong organizational abilities, self-starter, with effective communication skills.
Resourceful, with the demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Proficient with Microsoft office products.
