DUTIES: Perform a variety of administrative functions in Medical by supporting and assisting administrative and management personnel. Coordinating with management and customers to support and monitor various programs and activities in Medical Records. Provide administrative support with the development and implementation of projects, programs, assessment with processes specific to Medical Records and the Medical Clinic. Prepare reports and maintain records. Compile, store, and retrieve data in the electronic health record. Ability to cross-train on various jobs and databases of more responsibility and/or provide backfill coverage. Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel.
Candidate shall also perform all duties required for a Medical Information Specialist (MIS). An MIS performs a diversified set of duties in support of maintaining individual hard copy medical files and associated electronic medical files and databases. The MIS maintains Medical records for all individuals seeking treatment or undergoing surveillance health examinations at Savannah River Site. The MIS also supports auxiliary tasks such as receptionist duties, scheduling and medical components of the Human Reliability Program.
U. S. Citizen.
EDUCATION: High school diploma and 5 years practical experience in a business or administrative OR Associate Degree in a nontechnical or business discipline with at least 3 years practical experience in business or administrative area OR BS/BA in a nontechnical or business discipline and at least 1 years of practical experience in business, administrative, or program planning.
Practical experience in a technical, business or administrative area
Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
Oral and written communication skills and strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with different levels of management to achieve desired results.
Patient registration which may include spreadsheet
Recordkeeping as required by SCDHEC
Patient flow and accounting as required by maximum occupancy
Triage any phone calls coming into the room
Temperature checks on incoming employees
WORK HOURS / LOCATION: Candidate shall be scheduled for up to forty (40) hours a week. SRNS utilizes various work schedules which include, but not limited to, the following:
5/8s(eight hours/day, five days per week)
4/10s (ten hours/day, four days per week)
9/80s (nine hours/day, five days on week A and four days on week B)
The work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch unpaid.
