This work is to provide software application development services and program support services to WRPS. Duties of the position include supporting the translation of requirements into software design descriptions, software development, unit test development, software test writing, and conducting system tests. The individual performing the work is subject to controls, processes and procedures established by Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS).

WRPS has need for a software developer to support Plant Installed Software development in the Software Projects and Engineering Support Organization. This project is to support the development of the Liquid Effluent Retention Facility (LERF) Inventory System, a safety software application.
The LERF Inventory tool will be a web-based application that will utilize verified and validated calculations to track the radionuclide inventory in the LERF storage basins, track the total concentrations in each basin and overall, and calculate the Unit Liter Dose (ULD). The software shall also determine waste acceptance based on defined acceptance criteria for any given proposed waste receipts.
The software developer shall be part of an integrated software project team. The software developer shall directly support an identified project lead and technical lead. The project team shall utilize Microsoft DevOps for management of requirements, issues, and test cases. The software code shall be managed in a Git Repository and developed utilizing the Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The LERF Inventory application shall be a web-based tool utilizing .Net Core, C#, Angular, SQL, and other languages/frameworks.
Specific tasks of work may include:
Provide software engineering and development support for the development of the LERF Inventory System.
Support software design and provide support for software quality assurance activities.
Support software test development, test performance, and resolution of test exceptions.
Log, track, and support resolution of identified issues.

Required Qualifications/Skills
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
5+ Years of work experience in each of the following: C#, .Net, and SQL. Experience in each area may be accrued concurrently if skills were being utilized concurrently.

2+ Years of work experience in each of the following: .Net Core, Angular, TypeScript, and Web-based Applications. Experience in each area may be accrued concurrently if skills were being utilized concurrently.

Desired Qualifications/Skills
1+ Years of work experience in Software Development in an NQA-1 environment
1+ Years of work experience in Software Testing in an NQA-1 environment

Hanford General Employee Training (HGET) is required for HLAN Access.

Work Location/Potential Access
The primary work location is 2620 Fermi, Richland, WA. Currently this project is being supported virtually. The subcontractor will report to work virtually utilizing a remote connection to HLAN. A Logical Access Control System (LACS) card is required for access to HLAN.

Site Access/Work Hours
Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday.
Work performed outside normal operating hours shall be coordinated and approved in accordance to procedure TFC-BSM-CP_CPR-C-12.
